People looked at The Beatles and thought, ‘That’s easy. We can do that’. But the
best they could do was come up with pale imitations. The Beatles, after all, made
the simple seem easy. But it isn’t.
Creating something simple, effective and memorable
is much, much harder than you first think. It takes vision and teamwork. But above
all, it takes a natural understanding of the language of the form - be it music,
film or design. And it also takes the knowledge that an audience will see through
a rip-off at a hundred paces.
